No API key required. ChainTrace reads data directly from the page DOM in your browser. Google Sheets export uses Google's own OAuth2 flow — you authorise once and it works. No third-party credentials needed.
Nowhere, unless you explicitly export it. All extraction, validation, and processing happens locally inside your browser. ChainTrace does not have servers, does not collect analytics, and does not transmit your data. Zero.
Yes — as long as the portal is accessible in Chrome, ChainTrace can capture it. It works on intranet URLs, password-protected pages (while you're logged in), and custom-built portals with complex HTML structures. For API export, you configure the endpoint and headers in the options page.
A Recipe is a saved configuration for a specific URL pattern (e.g. alibaba.com/products/*). It stores the expected columns and the validation rules for that supplier. When you visit the URL, ChainTrace automatically applies the Recipe. Validation rules are the individual checks inside a Recipe — like "Price must be numeric and greater than 0".
The quota resets on the 1st of each month. If you hit 50 captures before then, you'll see an upgrade prompt. You won't lose any data you've already captured. A Premium licence unlocks unlimited captures immediately, and applies retroactively from the moment you activate it.
